This wine comes from selected grapes in the oldest vineyards of the Borba region. After careful monitoring of grape ripening evolution in the vineyard, upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were destemmed and gently crushed. This was followed by the process of alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel lagares with mechanical treading, ending with maceration for 10 days under temperature control at 22-25ºC. Malolactic fermentation took place in small volume stainless steel tanks. A 6-month aging period in new barrels of French, American, and chestnut oak preceded bottling, followed by a final 6-month bottle aging period in the cellar.
