In addition to its notoriety in the production of Alentejo wines, Adega de Borba has a great tradition in the production of spirits, using and selecting the best wine pomace of traditional red grape varieties from the Borba region. The wine pomace selected for this brandy are the result of pressing fermented grapes that originated wines produced in stainless steel presses. The masses are distilled in copper vessels in their own distillery, strictly obeying temperatures and distillation times with precision, guaranteeing excellent quality and genuineness in the different alcohols that make up the brandy. Aged for 10 years in ‘limosin’ French oak barrels, it shows excellent characteristics of color, structure and aromatic refinement.
