Incógnito was born from the innovative and restless spirit of Carrie and Hans Jorgensen. At Cortes de Cima, the 9C plot is the first Syrah vine planted in Alentejo. When, in 1991, Hans Jorgensen planted the vines with grafts coming directly from the Rhône, in an area of ??limestone land on top of a hill, he had no idea that the vineyard would originate a wine that would mark the region and the wines of Alentejo. This wine was produced exclusively from the Syrah variety. The grapes were rigorously selected so that they were in an excellent state of ripeness. They were fermented without stalks, at controlled temperatures, and regularly destage, with an extended period of skin maceration to improve the fruit aroma and achieve a good balance and tannin structure. Aged for 8 months in French oak (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels until bottling.
