Vinification of Esporao Reserva Tinto Wine: Harvesting each grape variety separately, destemming, crushing, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, concrete tanks, and small marble vats, with controlled temperatures, pressing, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Aging: 12 months in American oak barrels (60%) and French oak barrels (40%). After bottling, there was an additional 8 months of bottle aging.
