The magical quality of this wine is unique, difficult to compare even with the few other wines of similar age that have survived to this day. Its depth and density are surprising, even taking into account the concentration of wine over a century and an aging quarter in wooden hooves.
Notes of grounded cedar are mixed with notes of dried rose petal, fennel and eucalyptus. Black pepper and vanilla notes add a hot spicy dimension. In the mouth, the wine is dense, round and velvety with an impressive volume and concentration and the sweetness is balanced by a fresh acidity. Soft flavors of coffee and caramel combine with vibrant notes of orange peel and citrus fruits.
