Papa Figos is a Douro red wine ideal for everyday consumption as well as special occasions. An elegant yet vibrant wine, both classic and modern, embodying the essential values of Casa Ferreirinha, the house with the greatest tradition in producing quality wines in the Douro and one of the foremost references in this region worldwide. The selected grapes come from the Douro Superior sub-region, specifically from Quinta da Leda and from viticulturists with vineyards preferably facing north and located at higher altitudes. The optimal ripeness and acidity of the grapes are rigorously controlled. After destemming and crushing, the grapes are transferred to stainless steel vats where skin maceration - gentle and at controlled temperatures - and alcoholic fermentation take place.
