El Ron Prohibido Habanero is a blended Mexican rum that undergoes a 12-year aging process, using the Solera system in barrels that previously contained sherry. This method gives the rum a unique flavor that combines sweet and spicy notes characteristic of sherry, along with hints of grape and molasses. The result is a sweet rum with well-defined bitter nuances.
The expression “El Ron Prohibido” translated into Slovak means “forbidden rum” or “illegal rum.” Its distillation follows a traditional and ancestral method from Mexico, using sugar cane as the raw material.
