White wine made from exclusively Alvarinho grapes produced in Monção and Melgaço. The vines are over 12 years old and have low yields with high levels of acidity and good ripening. It is a wine made in the old-fashioned way with skin contact, resulting in more color and more tannins. It aims to fully explore the potential of the Alvarinho grape variety.
Vinification of Vinho Verde Alvarinho Anselmo Mendes Curtimenta 2021: Partial destemming. Skin maceration followed by fermentation with the skins for several hours. Fermentation finishes in used 400-liter barrels. It undergoes batonnage in the same barrels for 9 months on total lees.
